Christian's GI tests

Mommy did you see what they did to me???
Look at those tears, just makes you want to wipe them away and scoop her up, doesn't it?
Daddy, did you come to save me? (Only 1 parent was allowed back for the prep, sorry Daddy)
I knew you would help me Daddy!! (All finished and finally getting food and drink. The tube is taped to her nose and face. Notice my arm cuffs!!)
Down to one arm cuff and still doing good playing.
No I will not smile!
AFTER I pulled out the tube and AFTER they put it back in Mommy, Rie and I watched some TV.
Yeah! I'm all finished. I'm out of here! Its cheerios Aunt Heather and in a bowl:)

Well, Christian had an endoscopy and pH probe on Thursday. The endoscopy showed everything was fine, but we're still waiting on the biopsies to come back and the pH probe results. The nurses weren't very nice when they couldn't find a vein, but we managed to live through that. Then we had the tests, biopsy, and the tube put in her nose that went all the way down to her stomach. That was taped to her nose and face to keep it in place. Then we were told we would have to spend the night at the hospital after I asked and asked the nurse who called us if we would stay and she said we would NOT. Nice! So we weren't prepared for that. No biggie. But the little arm cuffs, that's what we called them, were rough for little Miss Indepedent. We took one off so she could at least manage to sit up by herself... but that proved to be a bad choice because she pulled the tube out. I know, I know... but it's hard to follow the rules when it's your own baby:) Of course it was on my watch, good job Mommy:) Thankfully she just pulled it out of her nose and not off of her face so they knew exactly how far to put it back down her nose. After that it was lots of fun in cars and wagons up and down the hallway, playing in the hospital playroom, and watching TV. Then after Daddy and the other 2 babies left we had a fun night of pushing buttons on her monitor everytime she laid down, sat up, ate, quite eating, coughed, threw up, or anything else. All in all we survived, though. Now... if we could just get some results this would all be worth it:) Thank you for all of your prayers!! This wasn't life or death, thankfully, but it's nice to have such support. Thank you!
