today we decided to pack up in the truck and go for a ride. we saw an old mustang on the way to rie's field trip the other day and thought we would go back to see if it was for sale. it wasn't (thank goodness, shh!) but that didn't matter. we still had fun taking the truck in the mud and then kicking up mud on the road when we were finished! the kids thought it was so great to watch the mud fly off the back of the truck. then we went by one of my favorite cotton fields. i've been waiting all year to go by there and snap a picture of the kids walking down the trail. i was excited we were on our way, but as we got closer i realized the cotton had come and gone and i missed it! i was so sad that i missed my photo op with the kids, i had it all planned out in my head. that's what i get for not driving by there earlier to see if the cotton was out yet. that's ok, though. we still had a great morning bumming around alabama and tennessee...
