my trip to atlanta

This week my Uncle and Mom were attending a conference in Atlanta and I decided to join them. Nancy and I helped some, but we decided to do some sight-seeing, too. Mom and Uncle Terry just had to work....

First we went to the Coca Cola museum. it was really neat!! Definitely something you have to see when in Atlanta.
Dr. Pemberton and I sharing a coke:) Interestingly enough, he never saw coke become a popular product. He ended up selling his recipe and died shortly after.

This was the best costume I've ever seen. He blinked his eyes and had facial expressions.

The bottle game, see whose bottle is from the farthest distance.

One of the torches from the 2005 Olympics.

The Taste It room. Here you can sample 64 different coke products from around the world. Of course I liked the North America products the most, except for one Sprite from Italy (I think).
The Coke room!

how to make a coke....

As you leave, you can choose a bottle of Coke to go.

Downtown Atlanta

Above the "Underground Atlanta" Shops and restaurants are below this area.

Our last night there we asked the concierge to give us a recommendation for a restaurant. He gave us a few and we chose Italian. It was this wonderful, little place where everyone knew each other, even if you didn't really. People were wearing these ridiculous hats and at first I wasn't sure if I wanted to ask about it in case they would make us wear one. But, I finally let curiosity get the best of me.... and yes, they ended up making us wear some. Honestly, it was lots of fun!
