Well, Thursday Kaden got sick at school. That meant we couldn't go back on Friday, so we hung around the house. Christian wanted the day off too. This is what I found when I brought Kaden's clean sheets to put back on the bed...
Saturday night Kaden's scouts had a Blue and Gold Ceremony. I didn't realize it was an actual banquet, thank goodness we dressed nicely:) It had a mad science theme and the boys had made placemats for their table setting. This is Kaden's.
They had a lady from Sci-Quest, the kids science museum here. She did some fun experiments for the boys and their families.
They had an Arrow of Light ceremony where cub scouts officially became boy scouts. That was neat to watch. They also handed out awards. Kaden won 3rd place in the entire Pack 8 organization for best looking Pinewood Derby Car. He competes again on March 14th for the Districts. There was also a dessert competition. We made worm surprise. Chocolate cake cubes and chocolate pudding mixed with whip cream layers with gummy worms tossed in. Then we drizzled chocolate icing on top. Yum! At least that's what I heard since I gave up chocolate for Lent. We thought we won a prize for best tasting because they described our dessert, but named someone elses. Oh well.
Daddy and Christian while the other two were up close by the stage to watch the experiments.
Most of the boys in Kaden's den.
